DAT 5005 - Basic Applied Statistics(3 units) This course introduces the basic methods of applied statistics. The course teaches analysis of data with graphs and basic descriptive statistics. Students will also learn concepts of normal distribution, simple probability theory, random samplings from populations, experimental treatments, sampling distributions, concepts of confidence intervals and significance testing, regression analysis and standard analysis of variance.
