PSY7502 - Sociocultural Diversity(3 units) The course initiates a process for students to learn to work with a culture different than their own and with a culture identified as an ethnic/racial minority in the United States. It covers: identity development, acculturation, class, prejudice and discrimination, demographics and epidemiology and verbal and non- verbal communication in the context of culture and values. Examples of courses offered in this area are: African American Psychology; Asian American Psychology; and Latino American Psychology. Prerequisites: PSY6121 and PSY6122
