This course reviews inorganic and organic chemistry. Topics include cellular organization and metabolism, protein structure and function, hemoglobin and blood buffers, enzyme action, fuel metabolism, hormone regulation of metabolism, nutrition, and information transfer by nucleic acids. Integration of these biochemical principles within the field of clinical psychopharmacology also will be reviewed.
