BUS69000 - Capstone: Management in a New Age

The Capstone Project course is a culminating experience where students apply their management knowledge and technological or analytical l skills to analyze dynamic business scenarios through a quantitative and qualitative lens. Students will evaluate and solve complex contemporary management challenges to become analytically engaged, data-driven, and innovative managers. Students will work in teams to complete the capstone project, which can be based on a real-world client, or a management simulation. Students who have entrepreneurial goals can choose to develop a business plan for a start-up company. Through extensive research, development, and implementation, students will put strategies for every aspect of their business into practice. Students will collect data, extract key insights through data transformations, analyze insights using compelling and actionable visualizations, apply appropriate data modeling and/or analytic methods to validate results, and make highly informed data-driven decisions aligned with stakeholder end-state objectives to successfully complete the project. Students will have the option to present their final projects at the annual CSML Business and Management Conference. 
Prerequisites: Completion of at least 6 MBA courses
