This course focuses on the role of behavioral cues and environmental and contextual factors in assessing risk, guiding intervention, and making decisions in high-stakes situations. The course addresses the observation and analysis of behavior, as well as appropriate responses to behaviors of concern. The course additionally explores the analysis of non-verbal behavior in contexts such as interviewing, crisis intervention, investigations, threat assessment, risk management, conflict resolution, and critical incident response.
