(2 units)This course will present basic information regarding substances of abuse, the history of use, societal implications as well as evaluation and treatment of individuals suffering from substance abuse disorders. Family dynamics and correlates of psychopathology will be covered. Recovery models, ethical and cultural issued will be related to current issues in treatment.
