PSY 8545 - Developmental Psychopathology(3 units) Examination of the theoretical and empirical findings related to the assessment, etiology, correlates and development of the major categories of childhood psychopathology including internalizing disorders, externalizing disorders, and severe developmental disorders. Emphasis is placed on the developmental, individual, family, school, and peer correlates of the behavioral problems. Issues related to child welfare, such as child abuse and the changing family are reviewed. Prerequisites: PSY 6140 and PSY 6523
