PPS72150 - Social Emotional and School Based Mental Health Assessment

This course will focus on psychological and educationally related mental health assessments, and the use of formal and informal test administration. You will develop a working knowledge of the DSM-5 and the assessment of emotionally disturbed children and other psychiatric and psychological and educational problems of young children and adolescents. Two fundamental principles guide the way this course is presented. You are viewed as important participants in the learning process with each learner bringing important experiences and knowledge to the class and you are assisted and guided in the learning process through thoughtful facilitation.
