NUR30040 - Nursing Care of Women, Children, and Families

Students will explore trends in family-centered nursing to provide evidence-based and holistic care addressing the health and illness needs of the childbearing family with a focus on obstetric, newborn, and pediatric clients. Students will examine normal growth and development, safety and injury prevention, and the impact of culture on the family unit’s response to psychological and physical stressors.
