NUR40040 - Healthcare Systems and Policy

In this course, students will examine healthcare policymaking and politics within the United States. Students will explore economic, financial, and social determinants of health concepts and frameworks and their impact on nursing research, care quality and access, and health outcomes. Students will determine the skills needed as a nurse leader, to take action and advocate for effective health policies and practices that impact individuals, families, and communities.
