NUR60005 - Leadership in Complex Healthcare Systems

In this course, students explore nursing’s diverse roles and responsibilities within current and emerging healthcare environments and the business skills needed to be successful in these roles. Students will utilize principles of strategic management, professional practice models, continuous quality improvement processes, workforce management, and budgeting concepts to address complex issues in healthcare. The impact of healthcare costs, reimbursement patterns, emerging technology, and healthcare policy on current nursing practice and quality healthcare delivery will also be examined.
