BIO25055L - Introduction to Microbiology Lab

In this introductory microbiology course, students will explore the diversity among microscopic organisms including cellular structures, nutrition, growth and metabolism, and microbial genetics. Students will dive deeper into learning about microbial diversity observed among prokaryotes, eukaryotes, and viruses. Students will also learn about principles of clinical microbiology including immunity, pathogenicity, epidemiology, control of microbes, and diseases. Lab and experiential exercises provide the application of concepts learned.
