CPD70000 - Career and Professional Development

(1 unit)
In this professional practice course, students will get training to apply the knowledge and skills developed in their coursework to practical context. Professional practice and application are required throughout the program. Students can complete the required professional practice hours by working on applied projects or practical training sites. Students are responsible for working actively to acquire an applied project or a practical training site. The professional practice coordinator or instructor will assist students in this process and share available practical projects offered by their program. Students’ practical experience must align with the goals of their program and study. For example, MBA program students with business and technical focus will apply business, management, and technical knowledge and skills in their practical training. As another example, MBA program students with hospitality management focus of the program will apply hospitality and tourism knowledge and skills in practical context. Students in online CSML programs will engage in applied projects. It is an important that International students should contact the International Student Office (ISSO) before they start working in a practical training site.
