Program Description/Overview
Graduates from the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program are eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) and are prepared to enter professional nursing practice in a variety of healthcare settings. The BSN curriculum is 120 credits, including 73 nursing credits and 47 general education credits. Nursing credits consist of 690 didactic hours (46 credits), 270 skill laboratory hours (9 credits), and 810 clinical hours (18 credits). Of the 1,770 total nursing hours, 72.8% are taught in person, or 1,290 hours. As a cohort-based program, the Core Nursing program will be taught in six trimesters following two trimesters of pre-nursing general education courses. Students will be admitted three times a year, in September, January, and May starting in 2025. The first cohort of students is projected to start in January 2024 and complete the program in December 2025.

Licensure
Students successfully completing all degree requirements for Alliant’s BSN program are eligible to apply for the National Council Licensure Exam (NCLEX-RN) through the Arizona Board of Nursing or other selected state board of nursing. Licensure requirements vary from state to state. Students should contact the licensing board in the state they wish to apply for licensure.
