Internship, Practicum, and/or Dissertation Information
The dissertation phase begins after the student has successfully completed all required courses. Graduate students may select from one of three dissertation models to best align with their academic goals, research interests, and career aspirations. These options provide flexibility and innovative approaches to the dissertation process: traditional research dissertation, applied dissertation, and the group dissertation. The traditional research dissertation allows the student to independently design and execute a rigorous study, producing a scholarly dissertation that aligns with traditional academic expectations. The applied dissertation is designed for students aiming to address real-world problems by emphasizing practical applications of research within professional settings by integrating academic knowledge with industry needs. The group dissertation model is designed to allow students to collaborate on a shared project.
