This course will help aspiring executives in the pharmaceutical firms to develop a comprehensive knowledge and skill set to succeed in this environment. The topics covered include research ethics, bioethics, intellectual property, drug approval process, FDA’s relationship with the industry, pricing strategies, intellectual property and patents, genomics, licensing and partnering, market structure, different company structures and application of economic analysis and outcomes research in the pharmaceutical industry. Applications, case studies, professional speakers and examples from industry will be presented to illustrate all course topics.
