Business Administration: BS, with Accounting Concentration

The Business Administration Bachelor of Science with Accounting Concentration program is designed so that students will acquire critical knowledge in tax accounting, fraud examination and auditing principles.

Goals and Objectives
- Demonstrate knowledge and application of business administration concepts including central theories, mode of analysis, tasks, and strategies.
- Demonstrate professional written and oral communication skills and abilities appropriate to business-related tasks and responsibilities.
- Apply and integrate reflective and critical thinking skills to assess and create business strategies appropriate for organizations in specified business environments.
- Employ a stance of ethical awareness and social responsibility through a comprehension of the legal, ethical, moral, and social issues encountered in business.
- Demonstrate a clear understanding and application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), analyze and interpret financial statements for decision making.
Curriculum and Degree Requirements
The minimum number of units necessary to receive the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with Accounting Concentration, including courses for the major, the business core, general education, and free electives, exclusive of foundation courses is 123 units. Note:
A total of 150 hours of college credit is needed to sit for the CPA examination. A student should consider a second specialization to fulfill the additional hours. Foundation Courses
