Goals and Objectives
The Bachelor Completion (Londres 4+1) program is designed to assist students in acquiring competencies based on a series of goals and objectives. The objectives include attitudes, knowledge, and skills that would be demonstrated by an internationally competent professional. The objectives are met operationally through various academic and training activities that include courses and practical experiences.
Goal 1. To prepare students to be competent international professional psychologists who are skilled at utilizing theories and techniques with a broad range of clientele and national contexts.
Objective 1: We expect students to have knowledge about the theories, schools, and proposed models that allow you to use different techniques, tools, dynamics and approaches that are required of a psychologist.
Objective 2: We expect students to learn to integrate international scientific research.
Objective 3: We expect students to develop an understanding of methods for conduct interviews and psychological interventions and in a variety of international settings and with diverse cultural communities.
Goal 2. We expect students to develop skills in conducting program evaluation and to gain the skills needed for basic practice management.
Objective 5: We expect students to develop program evaluation skills and knowledge and the ability to evaluate the effectiveness of a given program or intervention.
Objective 6: We expect students to develop skills managing the business aspect of psychological programs.
Goal 3. To prepare students to be ethical and responsible professional psychologists who possess an understanding of the complexities of being a global professional.
Objective 7: We expect students to develop an understanding of the legal, ethical and professional principles that guide the work of psychologists in Mexico and abroad.
Goal 4. To assist students in gaining increased verbal and written English language competencies.
Objective 8: We expect students to demonstrate a level of proficiency of language in verbal and in written.
Goal 5. To prepare students to demonstrate Practical/ Professional Competencies, Skills and Attributes (Capstone)
Objective 9: We expect students to be able to conceptualize and deliver culturally competent professional services to diverse populations.
Objective 10: We expect that students should demonstrate (an increased) ability to:
- Apply general multicultural and international knowledge competencies in professional practice and problem solving
- Transfer insights from one’s own group/region/nation-state/culture to another to create knowledge and understanding in areas of professional practice
- Communicate with people/clients of diverse backgrounds
- Work in diverse /international teams
- Mediate/resolve inter-cultural conflict in diverse work environments
