LDR 8801 - Global Leadership and Cultural Intelligence

This course covers the value systems, thinking patterns and models of reality that are inherent in different cultures and cultural differences within and among people and organizations. Included are the dimensions and measurement of culture; business and social cultures in organizations; national and ethnic cultures; value systems in different cultures; thinking patterns in different cultures; models of reality in different cultures; and alignment between environment, manager, culture of environment-serving organizations and methods for comparative cross-cultural research.

This course also explores the dynamics of culturally diverse individuals working together to accomplish the goals of organizations. Topics include cultural diversity, cultural awareness, dealing with diversity, inclusion of diverse individuals in the for-profit and non-profit sectors, and characteristics of leaders with cultural competence.
