This course examines the unique challenges of patient care delivery in the healthcare industry, including the role data management, emerging data standards and information technology in healthcare. The focus is on healthcare IT including issues related to governance, data integration, and selection and management of healthcare IT. This course covers the acquiring, storing, retrieving and using of healthcare information and discuss how it foster better collaboration among a patient’s various healthcare providers.
