ACR 7450 - Personal, Violent and Sexual Victimization(2 units)
This course focuses on micro- and macro-level issues associated with being the victim of a violent crime or mass-casualty incident. The course will focus on topics such as victimization through interpersonal criminal, sexual and/or violent activities, victimization at the hands of a criminal organization, and victimization as a result of mass casualty incidents, including disasters, mass shootings, and terrorist activities. The course will address factors such as age and culture that may differentially impact victims and those assisting them. The course will also examine the impact of media on the victim.
