MBA: Master of International Business Administration (I-MBA)

The I-MBA program in International Business Administration also provides an enterprise wide view of advanced skills in business and management disciplines, including practical experience in the application of those skills in the context of the overall dynamics of organizations.  The program enables students to develop an understanding of the various functional areas of international business including skills developed through specialized international courses in economics, finance, management, marketing, accounting, and practical aspects of international business. With exposure to classmates, peers and faculty from diverse multi-cultural and international backgrounds, the students acquire an understanding of cultural, historical, geographic and political underpinnings of international business.

MBA Concentrations


The following concentrations are available to students who are seeking a master’s degree in the Business and Management Program of ASM. Students who do not wish to have a concentration will select nine units in consultation with their academic advisor.

Information and Technology Management


This concentration teaches students technology enabled management and streamlining of business operations and business decision making. SAP software forms the basis for learning Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and an understanding of dynamism in managing efficiencies in all aspect of business operations from the supply chain to business process integration.

NAFTA Business


This concentration takes the students through the process of cross-border Business Development in the Clean Tech industry with a focus on the NAFTA economies and their interrelationship.  The course structures are designed around problem-based learning (PBL) with real world applications to businesses in the NAFTA economies.

Igor Ansoff Strategic Management


Distinguished Professor Dr. Igor Ansoff, known worldwide as the “Father of Strategic Management,” was the founder of the strategic management program at Alliant International University in San Diego, California where he taught for 17 years.
