PSY85510 - Clinical Consultation Group - Practicum III(1 unit) This course focuses on the development of case conceptualization skills in terms of three focal competencies: (1) understanding the person in their environmental, socio-cultural and developmental context; (2) problem orientation; and (3) practice and science integration. Environmental, socio-cultural and developmental context refers to understanding the contextual factors that may be impacting the client and their presenting concerns. Problem orientation refers to organizing, conceptualizing, evaluating, and intervening in terms of presenting symptoms and problems. Practice-science integration refers to the ability to apply theory and research to case conceptualization and treatment.
